Had to cancel an award reservation and need to use those miles to rebook on another trip ASAP. I canceled the flight online yesterday but have been trying to call AA advantage since- it says due to call volume to try again later. The system won't even let me wait on hold and keeps hanging up automatically.The system has been doing that for 30 + hours. Anything I can do to process this refund and get the miles returned? No status with AA so calling regular line..Obviously this is timely as I hope to get this booked before the (new ) award disappears.
