I do wonder sometimes how UA determine whom to target for what promotion! After reading this thread and the EQM Promo , there seems to be no consistency amongst the recipients of various offers.

For example, Mandelbrot, Major G, DancingFool, Honmani2 and I all have about between 50k and 60K BIS miles so far this year, but it appears each one of us are getting a different promo offer or none. Some in other thread received 5K/10K/15K EQM promo for flying 1/2/3 trips.

IMHO, EQM promo beats double miles when you are trying to make 2P or reach the next plateau of elite level, but if you are flying 100K BIS or more, double-mile offer is probably more beneficial.
