The flights credit as per scheduled departure date, even if delayed and leaving in the early hours of the next day.

So, travel on a flight that is eligible points earning should keep your points alive, even if not actually crediting until the next month.

You would just need to:
  1. Be sure your flight/booking class is eligible, and
  2. Hope there are none of the difficulties that can sometimes happen with partner airline flight crediting.
