Correct. As I posted above in this now dusty thread, the key to upgrading on flights to/from Mexico is to book the ticket with the airline you have status on.
DL Medallions....make sure your ticket is on DL coded flights. And AM elites, make sure you’re on AM coded flights. Otherwise it’s going to be a crapshoot on the upgrades.
