More detail in the Manhattan Bonvoy thread. One night stay — no recognition, no upgrade (not even high floor or one with a view), very slow and poor service in restaurant, average to poor breakfast food despite a great ambiance (and only $8 Titanium benefit — hardly enough for a croissant and coffee), tiny rooms that felt more like a very ritzy dorm room than a hotel room (good or bad, depending on your perspective!) ... nice gym (free weights, machines, well lit, high ceilings), comfortable bedding, well functioning/quiet A/C, fun design aesthetic, roomy showers (relative to other similarly priced NYC hotels). This hotel would get my vote for the being clean/new/modern, the nice gym and the bar scene. But if you want room to work in your room and you value a Titanium benefits like breakfast, look elsewhere.
So far: Hyatt is winning in my book in NYC by a long shot from a points-value-for-property. Moxy Chelsea was 35k Bonvoy points. Gild Hall at 15k Hyatt points, the Beekman at 20k points, Andaz 5th Ave at 25k and others at 25k Hyatt points win hands down as better properties, even when you equalize for relative point values.
