I signed up for Gold many years ago but have never used. My understanding is that as a first time Gold/Hertz user I have to go to the regular counter and show my driver's license. Will I still be allowed to go and choose my car or is one assigned at that time? Also, I'm going through USAA so that my 19yo can be added as a driver. When adding a driver with Hertz must this be done at the standard counter or is there a place in the garage (renting at TPA) where I can show my license and add my son as an additional driver? I just really want to be able to pick the car.
