Paying out of pocket r/t for Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima is 9,710 yen each way so more expensive than the 5 day Kansai-Hiroshima pass.
Yeah I know it wasn't covered, but if I buy a 7 day JR pass and start it on day 6 when I go to Hiroshima it will be covered under that pass and also the trip to Tokyo too. Would that be better and then just buy a 3 or 4 day Kansai pass?

I'm now looking at ANA flying home as economy has opened up on points, but waiting for Business to open up. So I wouldn't need the JR pass to cover the Narita Express as ANA flies out of HND overnight to SYD
