Had a recent three-night stay with my family. We had two rooms. Both were fully functional and felt brand new. The lounge is fairly small, but when it is crowded, like in the evenings, they open up the room next door and there is more than enough room. There always seemed to be something good to eat, although the offerings were greatly reduced from the larger hotels. Pastries were better than most others in the Bonvoy chain. The hotel feels new and the staff seems almost like they are unsure what to do at times, but we had no issues with anything and we found everyone very helpful. In the morning there was one person in the lounge and this person does everything, including making the coffee, which takes quite a while with their coffeemaker. This can cause some back-up issues, and on one occasion one of the guests got a little testy with the attendant which I felt was unnecessary considering the circumstances, although they could use another attendant or a faster coffeemaker. I enjoyed very much the rooftop pool. Evening alcohol was self-serve, but did notice on one evening that what was in the Ballantine's bottle was most definitely not Ballantine's, but something much harsher. The offerings were already lower tier, but the cost of alcohol we saw in the local stores probably made even Ballantine's prohibitively expensive. Tourist sites were easily visited via tuk-tuks that are always at hand and very inexpensive. We took grab to/from the airport.
