With narrow bodies now able to fly across oceans, RJs and single aisle planes are going to become the norm. They are far cleaner than the current range of planes, and electrification of aircraft is moving at a snails pace.

Shuttle flights will replace the larger heavies, and while that may lead to congestion, it is how airlines will get around pollution targets (in my opinion).
