I transferred a small of amount of Avios earned on a Vueling flight in April to my BA account via the Combine My Points feature. I received an alert a few days ago that my BA miles are still set to expire soon. I didn't know if there was a lag on them acknowledging the new points or if they don't count on resetting the clock....

thanks-
Transfers of Avios from one FFP to BAEC do not count as activity for purpose of extending the expiration date of Avios held in a BAEC account. If it were otherwise, someone with accounts in two different Avios-earning FFPs could extend expiration dates indefinitely, just by repeatedly transferring miles back and forth.

A conversion of Amex MR points or Chase UR points to BAEC Avios does count as activity for purpose of extending the expiration date. So, too, does taking a "Rewards for Thoughts" survey to earn BAEC Avios.
