Need Help with Transportation in Osaka/Tokyo Itinerary for July/August
Hi All,
My Itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 Fly into Narita from Melbourne Australia, then fly out of Haneda to Osaka (ITM). Once at Osaka, store my luggage and go to Nara for the afternoon until my friends arrive in the evening.
Day 2 Get up early and spend all day in Kyoto exploring.
Day 3 Spend all day exploring Osaka.
Day 4 Spend all day exploring Osaka.
Day 5 Spend all day at Universal Studios Osaka
Day 6 Go to Hiroshima for the day from Osaka
Day 7 Travel to Tokyo on Shinkansen train, then settle into Hilton Tokyo
Day 8 Exploring Tokyo
Day 9 Mario Carts
Day 10 Exploring Tokyo
Day 11 Exploring Mt Fuji
Day 12 Disneyland Sea Park
Day 13 relax, shop and then fly out of either Narita/Haneda back to Sydney Australia
My questions are simple since I have already been to Tokyo twice and I already have a Suica card from last visit, so I will be using this for subways in Tokyo:
While i'm in the Osaka/Kyoto/Nara area, would it be better and cheaper to purchase a Kansai Area Pass instead then purchase a 7 day JR pass. Instead of buying a JR pass for 14 days to cover both Tokyo and Osaka areas.
If I were to buy a Kansai Area Pass, how many days access should I need 2,3 or 4 days?
Should I start my 7 day JR Pass on Day 6 so Hiroshima Shinkansen train is covered under the pass?
My friends have already bought the 14 day JR pass, so they will be catching all the JR trains too.
