Though maybe not that important to the passenger, I’m sure BA would’ve loved to use some 380s on LHR-JFK instead of their aging and inefficient 747s. If terminal 7 at JFK wasn’t such a dump and could handle 380s, I’m sure BA would’ve ordered many more 380s (as an example, AF uses 380s on 2 out of their 4 cdg-jfk flights even though cdg-jfk is arguably one of their most premium routes and the 380 is arguably their least premium jet). In QRs case, aside from the cash cow that’s lhr/cdg-doh-syd/mel, I cant see other routes that make sense to use the 380 on. The 777X will be the closest thing to the 380 carriers will deploy in the future, but were quite a long ways away from its mass use and it still pales in capacity to the 380.
