This may not matter to anyone, but I buy real fabric (cotton and/or linen) cocktail napkins and placemats to use at parties that come on a perforated roll like paper towels do. The cocktail napkin coming on a roll doesn't mean it is made of paper! The brand I use is MY Drap, and I think they are designed more for commercial/catering use than home use. Though cheap enough to use as disposables, mine wash up just fine in the machine for re-use, though they wrinkle terribly if not carefully laid flat to dry.

Now, out of curiosity, I plan to pocket my cocktail napkin on my upcoming BA F flight and see how it compares to the ones I have at home...
