Not a big deal as my stay was very short...
At non-resort Delta Hotels properties without a Signature Lounge, a self-service Elite Pantry is an "approved alternative" to the lounge for Platinum Elite (and higher) members, according to the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program Terms & Conditions.
Only if there is no Signature Lounge AND no Elite Pantry, then you should get daily breakfast in the restaurant for member + 1.
There have been reports here on FlyerTalk of well-stocked Elite Pantries that offer a good selection of items for a quick breakfast in the hotel room. And there have been reports of poorly stocked and poorly replenished Elite Pantries.
