Stayed at Princeville resort in June for six nights. When I checked my SPG account I was at least 1250 points short (at least $500 worth) I filled in the claim form and got an email back saying that because the bill was over $1000 I had to either send it to them or fax it to them in Texas (a long way from London - although I did have an offer of a flight to Houston from Gatwick where I live that I should've taken up considering the time it's taking).
So anyway, I get myself a fax machine (not just for this - I promise I'm not that sad) forwarded a covering letter and my invoice and asked that the looked in to this at the end of last month. I never received a reply even to say that someone was looking into etc.. It was suggested that I email the hotel directly, which I did and nobody replied. Anyway I left it now three further weeks and have worked out where the shortfull has come from. When I checked out I settled part of my invoice will cash, as they still don't except the dollar over here in Marks and Spencers
I wasn't given any points for the cash I paid just the remaining transaction on my mastercard. Now I faxed them again having sat here for well over two hours with a calculator thinking how the hell the points they credited me with the value they did when I finally saw the problem. I faxed SPG in Texas again over two days ago, and still not an acknowledgment. What do you think I should do. I would have expected at least an email to say hang on in there we'll get it sorted. There's only so many faxes and emails I can send before I just say what the hell transfer the points I have to my Virgin Atlantic account and just stick with Hilton and then I would def make it Platinum with them..... but I don't really want to as I like the heavenly beds and wanna go back to the Princeville.
