Reading experiences like this absolutely highlights the difference that route and aircraft make. I do the HKG-SYD (and the other way) in CX PE at least once a month usually in the A330 and it's not very good at all. BA on a 787, 380 or 777-300 is much better (although on either airline you can get a crap crew).
