seat map on the YYC-YVR is wide open and we're ~2 months out, when I pull up the itinerary on the AC website the YYC-YVR segment is annotated as Business Class, just like the YVR-EWR segment
No, there is no waitlist for UA awards on AC. The only way is if you see "I" open up - you can call United to rebook you.
Of course you can also change your award to any other flight for free.
