Introduction Great trip to Hilo. Perfect base camp for Volcano n Check In Check in was very easy. There was no upcahge for Valet parking which makes getting to your room easy. Being a gold member, I was upgraded to a room with a tub, do this if it is offered to you. All people were exceptionally nice. Was easily able to add Gold benefits to my room, despite booking on another site. Hotel does offer mobile key card, which made the stay even better. Room Room was upgraded to a tub room with full view. No balcony. Bed was king and comfortable. View every morning was amazing. Room had a window from the bathroom, which meant you could see the ocean as you showered. Service Service was unbelievably friendly. Check in was very nice. Made you feel very welcomed and invited. Bar staff was friendly. Valet's were polite young people who you could trust with your car. Make sure to tip them, I saw several people fail to do this which was a bit bothersome to me. They were running around like crazy in the humidity and rain. Dining Dining was decent. Hula Hulas during happy hour provided good value. $5 Mai Tai's and $10 Pizzas. Pizzas and an appetizer could feed two people. Thought pizza was "okay". Drinks were very well made. Great value for $6.Opted for free continental breakfast. Danishes, muffins, bagels, unlimited juice and coffee. Was free for being a gold member, I believe it's $11. Not a horrible value. Great setting right next to the water. Had dinner the last night there. Shrimp salad and short ribs. Food was decent, view was good. Much better value during hap Location Location was perfect. Right on the water. Walkable to two parks and tons of entry ways to the water. Golf course right acr Amenities Thought this resort fee was justified. Amenties included free snorkling, two drinks, 9 holes of golf for two people and valet parking. Do not love Resort Fees but this one seemed a little just Overall Overall this trip was perfect. People treated you like you were meaningful. Rooms were nice and modern. View was unbeatable. Food provided was fine. Golf was fun, not a PGA course by any means, but a fun 9 hole course. Would not come all this way just to golf there, but def take advantage of it The people at the hotel make this place pretty amazing.
