Aside from being "interesting for us", the fare basis is useful for those affected by these discrepancies as it will truly inform them that the fare basis purchased is what they can show AC, definitively.
(Unless, going by "Flex" on the website or eTicket suffices... which I would argue that AC could say was a mistake and not honour "Flex", IMHO).
