See whether the hotel is willing to reverse the original payment and re-charge on the card that should have been used . Alternatively, I would ask HIlton to refund the credit card fee loading for the transaction. Presumably your card has a loading of circa 2.75% or 2.99%, like most UK cards. Check the exchange rates on the day of the transaction to determine what the extra charge was. If Hilton have transmitted the wrong credit card details to the hotel, this looks to me prima facie like a breach of the GDPR if you are resident in the EU, as you seem to be and would open Hilton to potentially substantial fines.
