Angry Hilton charged me using wrong credit card (one from profile, but not one I wanted)

I am not sure, if anyone experienced it, so I am looking for some advice

I have made a booking with Hilton flex rate, with card number **01.. few days later I decided to purchase it as non-refundable with card number **92
To my surprise, my **01 card was charged.. regardless of my decision to book with **92 card.Problem is that this **01 card has very bad exchange rate (I am loosing like -6%, going from GBP>EUR>local currency)
This was for 2 separate bookings, and for both this incorrect card was used. I still have screenshots of my booking, where **92 is used (this is present in Hilton booking system)
I called Hilton helpdesk, and they confirmed, that **01 card was charged, regardless of **92 card used, and proposed me to contact hotel directly, which is ridiculous anyway, and problem seems to be deeper
- this must be some error in their billing system, and seems to me I was unable to reach anyone competent enough.

I called hotel, and they did not know anything.. from their side they have just seen **01 card. They proposed me a refund, but with refund I would loose another 6%, going back local currency>EUR>GBP.
So this was unacceptable for me.. I asked for any kind of other compensation, but they asked to call later on.. This is how it ended so far
Do you know if such thing ever happened for anyone else? And what kind of compensation, if any Hilton may offer? I asked for points, or voucher, but it was rejected..

I wonder, if I simply shall not use charge-back procedure in my bank (technically it is unauthorized sale) and then I would get all money for this reservation in full, but then I bet, I may not be able to re-book those rooms (due to room unavailability in those periods)

Anyone can advise what to do?
