My recent experience was better, but I was travelling with a friend. The suite upgrade got us a decent suite at the end of a corridor. The only issue was that an extended family had the room next door and the one across the corridor so there was a good deal of noise.

The Grand Club lounge was fine and it is a useful location.
For the first time I used a tour pre-booked through the hotel - turned out to be OK and we persuaded the guide not to take us to the gem factory at the end of the tour. Did get to see much of the city sights on the way to/from the river.

The afternoon tea at the Cafe Erawan (available on Klook) was a bit disappointing.

Otherwise my stay was fine. But no better than that.
