Did SGS staff not bow and scrape sufficiently for you? That seems to be what some of our StR lovers on this forum really like.
Have you been to the GH Erawan bar (Spasso) at night? Blasting awful music so loud that you can hear it in the lobby above, and when I went there to meet a friend for a beer… the crowd other than us was a handful of caucasian visitors, and a couple dozen working girls looking for customers. Very strange vibe for an upscale hotel bar. I wouldn't really be comfortable meeting anyone for a drink here that wasn't a working girl.
