Consolidated "Renting at PVD; What Kind of Cars to Expect?" Thread
Not a glamorous start to the thread, but hopefully more people will share their experiences.
Was supposed to arrive on Friday just before midnight, ended up arriving Saturday around 1am. Selection was truly dismal.
The Gold, 5 Star and PC sections combined had a selection of the 8 cars that you see in the first 2 photos.
- Chrysler Pacifica
- Kia Forte
- Kia Soul
- Toyota Prius
- A few other Hyundais and Kias
The premium upgrade zone had a lone Toyota Camry.
Went back to the Gold desk and asked if they had something more exciting. The guy pointed to a hemi Dodge Charger parked at a different company’s zone (was either Thrifty or Dollar) and said I could take that. I was a bit sketched out especially considering all the recent stories of rentals being listed as stolen, but seeing as how both are Hertz Corp companies I decided to roll with it. Checked the rental contract after cleared the garage exit booth and sure enough everything seems to be legit.
