Especially if one of the officials authorized to deal with the tasks and asks to look at the card - he/she will see the card has "expired" - even though it has been conditionally approved for almost a year after that expiration date.
TSA doing the travel document check for PreCheck will generally ask for another ID if they see even a very recently expired GE card. With a PreCheck boarding pass comes PreCheck screening at applicable checkpoints regardless of the basis for PreCheck selection at check-in — but that is contingent upon getting cleared by the TSA TDC to proceed to PreCheck screening.
TSA TDC will more frequently accept a recently expired ID by itself if it’s not for PreCheck.
CATSA more generally seems to reject expired GE cards when it comes to priority screening for “trusted travelers” flying from Canadian airports.
For eligible airline flights at relevant airports/check-in facilities, conditionally-approved, GE renewal members generally continue to get PreCheck boarding passes for at least some period of time after the expiration date on the card.
