Should be floored by the route fare differential (fairly consistent) unless there is a fare error. I have been in situations where A-B-C with a stopover in B was less in J than A-B in Y. So I flew a B-C-B bounce, and got extra miles to boot. But that's not the same thing.

When VX was flying with non-differential fares, F was sometimes less than Y on the same flight.
