The T&C have always said that, but that's never how it's worked in practice. They are just covering themselves.

When my last statement closed (about 2 weeks ago) I got the 2 nights 1-2 days later, as I have every other time a statement closed where I crossed a $5k threshold.

If you think you crossed a threshold but did not get the nights within a couple of days off statement close, there's probably a problem, or you did not actually cross the threshold on that statement. Are you sure that (1) you are not counting AFs or cash advances as spend (only purchases count) and (2) your spend actually posted and appeared on that statement? (pending charges which post after statement close and appear on the next statement won't count until the next statement)
