Elite Content on Aeroplan.ca
I signed up for Aeroplan not long ago. I don't have elite status at the moment (although I hope to at some point). I know that Aeroplan.ca recently underwent a complete overhaul but I still find the site to be fairly convoluted in terms of navigation. Although the "Member Privileges" section provides some information about qualifying for elite status and the benefits awarded once you qualify, it's not packaged particularly well (at least compared to some other airline websites).
I also noticed the "Top Tiers 2004" link, but when I click on it, I just get a message that says:
"Aeroplan and Air Canada have started to advise Aeroplan members about their 2004 top-tier status. The next series of notification letters will be mailed starting January 22, 2004. The notification process will be completed by mid-March 2004. As soon as you receive your letter, you will be able to access this special top-tier section. In the meantime, should you wish to get more information about the 2004 top-tier benefits, please visit the News section on our website."
Obviously, I'm not able to access this section since I'm not an elite member. But I was curious to know how it's different than the "general" Aeroplan.ca content. Is it just laid out more clearly? Is there additional detail about Aeroplan elite benefits? (Even the FAQs leave a lot of questions unanswered in my opinion.)
Anyway, I was just wondering what the "Top Tiers 2004" section offers that the "Member Privileges" section doesn't. Are they vastly different? If not, why have redundant information? Can anyone shed some light on this? (Not that it really matters a whole lot - mostly, I was just curious!)
Thanks!
