I got caught in the last strikes in August 2017 using avios and AMEX 241. My flight was cancelled 3 days prior (Houston George Bush to London Heathrow in J). I was automatically rebooked onto a connecting service on AA from Houston Hobby via Dallas to Heathrow In Economy. I was not happy with this and phoned. Having checked availability beforehand I asked for Phoenix to Heathrow in J (I was already in Phoenix) which was done without fuss.

Im still progressing my claim for compensation under EC261 - it’s now scheduled for court.

i was also caught up in the Ryanair strikes last year and now have a BA flight for August 8th😡
