Usually the upgrade is to a corner suite. I was downgraded last time to a JR as they had not yet finished their renovations. (or so they told me)

It is definitely better than the westin to have a drink in the bar and watch some of our politicians in action.

I will agree that it is not in the caliber of the Frontenac but not many properties are. Including none in Ottawa.
