Hmm...it has been a couple years since I've been on MU so I definitely believe you. Maybe I had to call in for the MU legs. I do distinctly remember having severe issues with the English MU website (us.ceair.com) and then having a little more success doing *something* with the Chinese version (
????_?????_??????_??????_????????). I did somehow ultimately get seat assignments that confirmed and indeed stuck through to my boarding pass and BIS - but perhaps that wasn't via the website after all.
