It seem your experience was, well, perhaps not typical.
Though, again, a lot depends on where you are in the terminal, relative to the air conditioning outlets - and, of course, the angle of the sun on those acres of glass makes a difference.
It's hard to avoid the conclusion it's a bad, cheaply designed terminal.
