Thanks for your detail advice.
Unfortunately, I cannot make a backup booking as the cost is coming up to 10 times my original cost for a new booking.
I am just concerned that Avis would not honor the initial rental agreement. Do they have that option to say we are not renting you a car because we quoted you a low price?
