There are some good fares and availability from Oslo to JFK in September/Oct, however, on skyscanner is shows that you need to change from Arriving into LHR to then go for onward departure to JFK from LGW. How does this actually work in practice as the layover time is 3h 40 mins to go from LHR to LGW. Is this all still on the same ticket so you are protected in case of delays on the first leg etc? On the way back the layover is almost 10hrs so you shouldn’t have a big problem and I guess you could even skip the last leg to Oslo.
Thanks for the responses.
Yes protected
You are responsible to get to the other airport at your cost with your bag
Costs are from about £60-80 for taxi/car service or £20 per person on the bus - I have done both and its about an hour and a bit with minimal agro however can you not pay a little more and go to NYC from LHR to mitigate the transfer? There are many flights to NYC airports from LHR of course.
If you are looking to drop the last leg the transfer works in your favour on the return.
