The main strike thread seems to have got bogged down in a re-run of the 1980's ideological battle between capital and labour so maybe it is worthwhile opening a new information thread for those of us whose main concern is whether we can get away from this rain-soaked island next weekend?

The latest news I can see is that the GMB has called the revised offer a "small step in the right direction". Doesn't sound too promising but at least the two sides are meeting again later today.
