Pardon me for piping in here, but I must.

Airplane seats are meant to recline. Their position at the "upright and locked" stage is only provided as a safety measure in the event anything were to happen during takeoff or landing, and the reclined position is both better for your posture and much more comfortable.

While it is admirable that you do not wish to impose upon your fellow passengers, do you also not recline even if the person in front of you reclines back into your space? If so, I just don't understand why... you're supposed to recline, and especially in F it is an added amenity and comfort that you as a paying passenger are entitled to.

The only flights on which I haven't reclined are those which I have boarded severely intoxicated and have subsequently fallen asleep swiftly on without remembering to recline.
