Was on DFW-CLT Wednesday night. Total delay was 4 hours 20 minutes. Included a gate change at midnight & sitting on a loaded plane for 75 min starting at 1am for paperwork. Gate agents & FA handled it well, given the situation. I was annoyed landing at 4:30am but am pretty helpless if I want to stay on AA while this thing works itself out.
AA customer service emailed me yesterday & dumped 2,500 miles into my account. It doesn’t make up for it but it’s a positive gesture that I’ll remember.
