You jest, but I'm not sure that I disagree. MOST seats that one encounters in life DON'T recline, and it particularly doesn't make sense to offer reclining seats in a confined space. It's tight enough (even in F) with everyone's seatback in the upright and locked position. It gets even tighter with seats reclined. Do we really think that anyone would NOT fly if their seats didn't recline?
