Courtyard New Orleans French Quarter/Iberville, LA [Master Thread]

Stay Report - 6/10 - 6/11

Location: The hotel is located in the heart of the French Quarter on the corner of Iberville and Dauphine, one block from Bourbon Street. You're also only a block from Canal Street. This means if you want to be a tourist in New Orleans you can hardly do better. The hotel itself shares its building with the Ritz Carlton and there's a Hyatt Centric across the street. MSY is a $35 Uber ride away.

Hotel: The hotel feels less like a Courtyard than most I've been to. There's an entrance on the 1st floor on Iberville and you take an elevator to the lobby on the 2nd floor. The lobby is nice and has four computers in a business center as well as a snack shop and a coffee shop which serves the Bistro Breakfast.

Check In: Helped by a friendly and helpful agent who confirmed what my Titanium benefit would be and used my name a lot which made me feel valued.

Room: I was upgraded to a king suite which was pretty nice. A small living room with a kitchenette, large couch and television which were actually separated from the bedroom which had its own TV. The bathroom was nicer than average as well. I enjoyed all the space I had and I had no noise issues.

Other: On the morning of my departure the hotel's Wifi was down. This meant no Wifi in the rooms or at the lobby business center. I ended up having to leave early and walk to a FedEx Office to do some work which cost me money and was really annoyingly. It soured the otherwise pleasant stay. I'm still likely to return though, the location is good as are the rooms.
