Aviator red card, annual fee coming up, only minimal spend on it. Called in with desire to downgrade to no-fee card (to preserve large credit limit), was told no downgrade offer, just an upgrade to the Silver. No red card retention offers at all. Nothing. Frontline CS agent said computer says no offers, asked to be elevated to retention specialist. They also said no retention offers of any kind at all. Not willing to flex on anything. Told them to close the account, and in the questionnaire they gave me about reason I'm canceling I said it was their fault they lost a customer because they wouldn't allow a product change and at least keep some of my business. Agents didn't seem to care, didn't even try to sell me on any benefits of the card or make it seem like they should even try to retain customers. Oh well, no tears shed here, moving on.
