This is my fourth Chase/BA event and, as such, I knew what was likely to be in store but this event surpassed my expectations. Here's my report on what was a truly special couple of days courtesy of Chase and their partners. Unlike previous events, this one was presented by Chase in conjunction with Avios to include all three of their IAG credit card partners (British Airways, Aer Lingus and Iberia).

First, a health warning; this report may be seriously boring to those not interested in golf and I’ll summarize it as follows. We stayed two nights in a smart Marriott resort, ate and drank to excess sacrificing much needed sleep and played some golf in crazy hot temperatures with a well-known and thoroughly delightful hall of fame golfer. Please read on if that little lot piques your interest.

At 40,000 Avios for me and a guest this event was fantastic value. Our eldest daughter and her boyfriend live in Aberdeen and he's a seriously good golfer and a former professional. They arranged a visit to coincide with the event which seemed to work out for everyone. Lots of golf for the two of us plus a family visit.
