Problem solved, changed my return to so I don’t need to go to YUL at all. Straight from JFK.
Annoyingly cant cancel the AA return only segment and I still need the outbound so I’ll just keep that and not use the return.
No reason to cancel the final segment of the AA ticket. Presuming that it is a standard penalty fare, just hang onto it. If the there is a substantial change in timing or iti is cancelled, call in and a refund will be issued.
