What exactly is the safety record issue for Thai Lion? They have the newest fleet of any Thai airline and apart from the odd hard landing which occurs at all Thai airlines - usually by young FOs - I can't recollect anything serious.
In my view they provide more payment options than all of the other airlines combined but the non Thai CC is an issue.
