- $255 at WA nonrefundable
- $310 at WA refundable, with Amex FHR benefits (possible stack with Diamond for double upgrade?)
What would be your choice?
In my humble opinion, forget about Conrad for a honeymoon because it is a business hotel. Millenium Hilton has its charms on the river so it's a good choice, I would suggest paying a modest extra for panoramic view suite as Diamond. That room is not luxury, but one of a kind in Bangkok and very good value.
If you have the budget, Bangkok is a city where spending extra goes a lot further than elsewhere in the world, so I would pay for WA on a honeymoon if you can afford it. I am not sure what Amex FHR benefits would be at this property so hopefully it's good advice but I would pay $255 if your dates are set already, and save the $55 difference for drinks at the Champagne Bar unless it's already included in FHR (?). The entry level room at WA is very good and you have good odds of update to deluxe suite as Diamond especially if you tell them ahead of time that it's your honeymoon. It would be technically a 3-category upgrade and dollar wise it's a far better upgrade than you will get at MH.
Congrats on the nuptials by the way!
