YUL is way oversold during summer and sometimes you'll be lucky to get a comparable car to what you booked at all. On a fullsize reservation, I'd expect a fullsize like a Malibu or a small SUV. You can certainly ask for a convertible if available but I'd be surprised if they budge below an upgrade fee of $50-80/day plus all taxes and fees.
