Best VALUE - CP City, HI Mayfair, IC O2

Best LUXURY - CP City, the IC's, Kimpton Fitzroy

Best boutique - CP Kensington

Best for families - HI Camden

Decent value if low on points - Indigo Kensington, CP Kings Cross, HIX Wimbledon, HI Wembley, HI Stratford City, HI Whitechapel, CP/HIX at LHR T4, HIX Ealing

An odd example. Holiday Inn Camden puts its penthouse suite up for redemption at the standard 45,000 points. In terms of room size, this is probably the best bargain in London. Does it offset the Holiday Inn breakfast? Dunno, up to you.
In no world could the CP The City be described as luxurious. It is a good property which treats Spires well but it is a pretty cooker cutter place with the exception of the public spaces.

If you get a decent room or suite the Kimpton is more luxurious than either of the IC's although the gym is slightly poorer. In my view the IC O2 is a much better property than the IC PL although the location and RA recognition (especially the excellent Club Life package for redemption stays) is better at the PL.

The CP KX is excellent value mostly with very good rooms for London at good rates, a great gym and pool, great recognition of spires, the HI Mayfair is a poor property and value only for the location. I am also rather keen on CP Ealing, Indigo Kensington, CP Kensington, CP Albert Embankment if you can make the locations work for you.

The HI Whitechapel is a decent enough property in a slightly edgy location, room sizes and Spire recognition are good, road noise is an issue unless you are at the back. The HI Stratford is not good, the rooms are rather small for a modern HI and the much better Staybridge (in the same building) is better in almost all respects and can often be cheaper or similarly priced. Both of the Stratford properties are a bit of schlep to the station (a circa 10 minute walk) which is very, very busy at peak times.
