My family and I are avid travelers and Athens is the place where the "bad" things happen.
1. My cousin was mugged on the way up to the Acropolis.
2. Another cousin was pickpocketed on the subway.
3. I was pickpocketed on the way into a small church but fortunately moved away as they brushed past me and the zipper on my jacket was already half opened and they chose the right pocket!
Athens takes this to a whole new level! I warn all my friends and family now about Athens. We all travel extensively but it is at a whole different level in Athens.
