Difficult to help the OP without knowing what kinds of activities they have planned as LA is much to vast to reasonably cover using mass transit. That being said, the
HGI LAX/El Segundo is basically next to the Nash/Mariposa Green Line Station and also has the benefit of a free shuttle to/from LAX. It doesn't get much better than that.
