I will dispute this. The wine selection that I have been offered was very decent. First, in the DL premium select cabin, the wine is served from the bottle by the pursers, as opposed to small, individual bottles in the AF Y and W cabins. Second, the choice of a French Viognier (white wine) or Spanish Rioja (red wine) on the DL flight was arguably better than the cheap AF Rhone blend red or white wine, which you can find here for as low as $6 a full bottle (I have never seen a Rioja that cheap).
