Any TATL from YYC is extremely difficult to get. LHR is a tiny bit easier than FRA, but it is still terrible, and if you are not SE, you will likely have to settle for Y or PE.

YYC-SFO is easy. I have no idea when it is released, but I got award availability 4 days out just a couple weeks ago.

It is worth getting Expert Flyer and setting up seat alerts for award space, definitely for YYC-LHR.
Thanks. I am not SE and looking for J (Y would be ok for YYC-SFO though). Also looking for 3 seats on a flight and would be booking via ANA as part of ANA RTW ticket. So all that adds to complexity/challenge in finding space. I will be booking in Aug for travel in summer 2020.

On LHR-YYC route I noticed there is availability most often on Mondays, while on FRA-YYC it is mostly on Tuesdays. Also noticed that when award seats are released on a given date there are often 3-4 J seats available on that day, which is good for me.

When looking at current availability, most confusing is that there is good availability 10-11 months out (Mar-Apr 2020), but almost none in May 2020. This seems to be the case on other routes as well, so I am hoping that AC will release additional seats later on....
